Overcube is the name of Group Kyaia’s new project. “To create a platform with the best footwear brands worldwide at just a click away” is the goal of Group Kyaia, led by Fortunato Frederico. At a time when the retail sector is undergoing structural changes, digital solutions are on the immediate sights of the largest national footwear group. “As we’ll continue to wear footwear, it’s all a matter of finding new ways of selling”, stated Amílcar Monteiro, the group’s Managing Partner, to Dinheiro Vivo.
For now, the platform sells brands from the group, such as Asportuguesas, Foreva, Softinos and Fly London, and other like Café Noir, Lemon Jell, Nobrand, Sofia Costa.
However, the goal is to broaden the platform to more national and even international brands.
The site had an investment of one million euros and started up with a team of 20 professionals exclusively dedicated to online sales. The platform guarantees deliveries within 24h for all Europe but the aim is to reach other continents. The orders are shipped by the associated brands and deliveries are available from Monday to Friday.
The Group Kyaia currently employs 600 people. In 2017, the group had a turnover of 65 million euros. Until 2020, Fortunato Frederico wants to reach the value of 110 million euros. For that reason, the group is investing in increasing Kyaia’s production capacity.
